Once fall is upon us the majority of Americans are getting ready to celebrate Halloween. However, Halloween is now an event that lasts weeks and is often referred to as the “Halloween Season”. That is largely due to the excitement generated by the fantasy that Halloween brings with it and further enhanced by haunted houses, which continue to get bigger, better and scarier… each and every year. In fact, some haunted houses are so large they are now considered Scream Parks.
LEGEND PARK… AMERICA’S SCREAM PARK
The very first ‘scream park’ debuted in Mishawaka, Indiana in 2008. Management of the unique venue (with multiple haunted houses) intends for the company to eventually become a theme park, but since they started with the Halloween style attractions they developed the phrase, Scream Park. Cheryl Lane, a creative manager for the company came up with a name for the fall event, Fear Itself. And so was the start of what would soon become one of the largest, most exciting and most fun Halloween events in the country, Fear Itself at Legend Scream Park.

Today Fear Itself is made up of 6 of the biggest and scariest haunted houses in Indiana and Michigan. People from all over the world to experience the Legend Park's show each year. Thousands visit from other regional cities such as Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Toledo and other Midwest cities. The dark and dreary Rock Monkey Caves is exactly what nightmares are made of. The Rock Monkey, a giant creature made of rock with razor teeth and nails for claws is indeed the most feared, demonic, monster anywhere.
