Right down the road from Chicago, and with a rich blending of nationalities, we have all of the resources we need to experience a broad spectrum of infamous and popular eats, treats and drinks, right here in our neighborhood. Talent, passion and pure grit make this area such a spunky and enjoyable place to live when it comes to entertainment and great restaurants. The people of our community are nothing short of creators and dreamers, who are constantly devising celebrations and events for us all to get together and experience life like no other area in the country.

Chef Bela, along with the help of The Life Treatment Center, who benevolently took over the program five years ago, has been working diligently to assure that this year’s event will surpass the expectations of previous guests. And, after sitting down with Chef Bella for some time, we are satisfied in our decision to say that he will most definitely make this goal.

This year’s Taste of Michiana will include extraordinary relishes, including upscale dining, Mexican cuisine, bar food, desserts and cakes, barbeque, meats, sandwiches, seafood and of course, beers, wines and liquors available to anyone with a present and valid identification card.Your senses will be burning with famous and familiar restaurants such as Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Bonefish Grill,CJ’s Pub & Grille, Copper Creek Café, Salsa’s Mexican Grille of Granger, Catering by Martin’s and so many more.

This is a great opportunity for restaurants to show off their menu and an even better time for the rest of us to test them out! Each restaurant will bring two to three different items ensuring that guests will have a steady variety of food in front of them at all times. For restaurants, Taste of MIchiana is about bringing more people to their restaurants. For the consumer, Taste of Michiana is about having the restaurants brought to you.

Taste of Michiana will be bringing in a DJ that possesses music entertaining to anyone’s fancy, promising a day full of long-lasting merriment on all spectrums. The event will be from 5:00PM to 8:00PM on Wednesday, May 30th at 120 Dr. Martin Luther King Drive, South Bend, also known as The South Bend Century Center. Tickets can be ordered online at www.TasteOfMichina.com or purchased at the door for $25.00 - which includes food from every restaurant at the venue and a full day of celebration. All veterans with proper ID get their tickets for $20.00 at the door. 100% of the profits go straight to our local Veterans Program.
