According to South Bend / Mishawaka / Granger Golf Lesson Instructor, You Can Create Immediate Results and Drastically Improve Your Golf Game Through Following His Direction
According to Hamilton most golf instructors (even websites and golf magazines will tell you that the fundamentals of the golf swing are posture, grip and alignment. Hamilton agrees that those things do in fact have some bearing on your golf performance, however they are not fundamental and should not be the first things to focus on if your goal is to have fast, long- lasting results for a better golf game.
Hamilton states that most golfers have a goal to get better, quicker. Golfers want to learn to hit the golf ball farther, more solid and straighter down the fairway. And, he says, time is of the essence. No one wants to wait for years to become a better golfer. "Time is our most precious commodity,' says Hamilton. Don’t waste your time and effort by working on your swing in the wrong progression. The order in which you learn and practice will have a tremendous effect on your rate of success!"
Traditional Fundamentals Are Not the Primary Source for Lower Golf Scores.
Hamilton says that he exposes the myth of traditional fundamentals. "The best golfers in the world have different postures, grips and alignments and the variances are dramatic." He sites several examples of pro golfers. "Ben Hogan had very little bend in his address posture, Fuzzy Zoeller had more than 30 degrees. Paul Azinger’s left hand grip was rotated 75 degrees to the right, Jose Marie Olazabal’s was rotated only 10 degrees. Fred Couples aligns to the left of the target, Arnold Palmer aimed right." Hamilton's review of these top golf legends are clearly examples of the fact that they demonstrate dramatically different golf fundamentals.
Mark makes the point that it should be obvious that posture, grip and alignment are not fundamentals but rather variables and cannot be the primary source of great ball striking. He insists that these are not the components a golfer should be working on if they want quick results and want to rapidly lower their golf scores and improve their golf game.
The Redefined Fundamentals in Golf Lessons
So what fundamentals do all the great players uniformly demonstrate?
Hamilton says that there is a paradigm shift in how golf is being taught. As a golfer and you understand this, you now have the opportunity to be an early adopter of these techniques (which basically means you can beat you friends on the links until they learn the new tricks of becoming better golfers quicker).
So what are the key components to the redefined fundamentals of how to become a better golfer quickly? There are 3 simple basics. In order of importance they are:
Consistent Contact
Consistent Distance
Consistent Direction
Simply put- all good players control where they hit the ground, they hit the ball far enough to score and they have a very consistent shot pattern.
So how does Mark Hamilton teach you do these things? He begins by asking the right questions about your golf game. Next he spends time watching you hit balls and he analyzes high speed video that he shoots while you are hitting the ball. He then isolates and prioritizes your weakest golf fundamental and begins working with you to help you clearly understand the concept behind the quickest way to change your ball flight. A consistent journey of observation, explanation, imitation, correction and repetition are then followed. Hamilton says that it is always his goal to have a very large change in how your ball flies with minimal change in how you swing the golf club.
This is indeed a revolutionary approach to the "old style golf training and beliefs". And from the testimonials that Mark Hamilton's students are giving... it certainly works.
