Hickory Creek Winery is considered by many Southwest Michigan favorite winery and for many reasons. This wonderful winery, located in Buchanan, is known for hand-crafted world European-style wines. They pride themselves on creating exceptional, small batch production featuring classic, wines made from locally grown grapes. What does small batch mean and why is it important? Their total annual production is less than other wineries' production of one variety. It's like cooking dinner for 5 people versus 500. Hickory Creek's limited production allows them to pay close attention to quality and flavor. Their level of detail and care can be tasted in each and every single bottle of their outstanding wines.

Like any business, its leadership typically dictates its success. Hickory Creek is no different. When Adam McBride took over the ownership in September 2017, he brought to the winery a demanding, high quality production process and raw materials demand that is the foundation for Hickory's great wines. Andy is a West Michigan native and understands the locals and the local winery industry. Andy soon brought together a team of qualified experts that are passionate about making great wine and being the best in the Southwest Michigan area. Today that talented Team consists of Jeffrey DeAngelis, Hickory Creek Winery’s Operations Manager, Jamie DeVinney, the company’s Senior Tasting Consultant and Chris Hunt, Marketing Manager & Tasting Room Consultant. The members of the Hickory Creek Team come together to create wine so good you can taste their passion!

You need to experience the wine yourself to understand just how great they really are. Fortunately you can do so as Hickory Creek offers many wine tasting opportunities. Specializing in small batches, the wines they offer vary with each vintage. This allows Hickory Creek to focus on the best producing grapes of the season that will result in the best tasting wines. Their boutique winery has a passion for classic and refined European wines made from locally grown grapes. These wines are meticulously produced and bottled, corked and labeled by hand. 2017 Summit White
Crisp, refreshing Pinot Gris/Traminette blend. Notes of peach, melon, green apple.

2017 Grüner Veltliner
Tropical and citrus fruit flavors.Slight spice on the finish.

2018 Unplugged Chardonnay
Zero-oak cool climate Chardonnay with bright tropical flavors. Green apple finish.

2017 Pinot Noir
Light bodied and earthy. Red cherry and strawberry, with the right amount of oak.

2016 Merlot
Medium bodied with silky tannins.Red apple, cherry and plum on palate.Cedar finish

2017 Cabernet Franc
Earthy with notes of cranberry,cherry, red plum on palate. Lightly oaked.

2018 Late Harvest Vidal Blanc|
Fruit forward with pineapple, kiwi, and pear. Honeysuckle, apple blossom.

2017 Chambourcin
Bold color, smooth tannins. Deep aromas of grape preserves. Luscious fruit on the palate.

Gentil Rosé
Apple blossom and spiced pear. Lusciously sweet finish.

Rouge Doux
Red plum, black cherry.Chocolate on the finish.Chili spice finish.
